Depending on where in the city you are staying, it can take an estimated 30 minutes to reach Hungexpo Congress Centre by public transportation.
 
The regular BKK (public transportation company) transport passes give unlimited metro, tram, trolleybus, and bus rides. 24hr, 72hr or 1-month passes can be purchased from the official BudapestGO app or purple BKK ticket machines / sales kiosks. Note that these passes are different from the tourist Budapest Card, which is more expensive and includes attractions.

• BUS: Take metro line M2 to Örs Vezér Tere Station. From there, walk to the Örs vezér tere M+H bus stop (3 minutes) and take public bus 10 to Hungexpo, getting off at II. Kapu (Congress Centre – three stops). There will be increased frequency of bus 10 during EACR 2026 (every 10-20 minutes).
• METRO: The Hungexpo main entrance is about a 15 minute walk away from Pillangó utca station on the M2 metro line.
• TAXI:  The most reliable and popular taxi providers in Budapest are: Bolt, Uber, Főtaxi, City Taxi, and 6x6 Taxi.

IMPORTANT: If you require a visa to attend the Congress, we strongly recommend that you apply as early as possible to allow sufficient processing time. Please note that failure to obtain a visa does not constitute grounds for a refund of registration fees.

Participants who have registered and paid can download a ‘Letter of invitation’ from the Congress registration portal. This is to assist you in obtaining travel funds, appropriate visas, and/or absence approvals. The same standard format of letter is provided to every participant who needs one and we cannot amend it, add extra information, or submit further documentation for visa applications.

Please ensure you apply for the correct type of visa with enough time for it to be approved. We cannot provide advice on applying for a visa, and if you are unsure, we recommend seeking expert help in your home country.

You will be able to download a Certificate of Attendance directly from the congress registration portal after completing a short online survey immediately after the event.

There will be a limited number of childcare spaces at the congress venue. Click here for more information. Please note that for safety and insurance reasons under 18s are not permitted in the Congress venue at any time except when travelling directly to or from the onsite childcare facility.

Hotel accommodation is not included in the registration fee and can be booked directly through the EACR 2026 official housing agent on the Accommodation page.

The EACR has appointed Atlante Viaggi Italia Srl to collect, on our behalf, all the applications from Italian pharmaceutical companies and to file them with the appropriate Italian Medicine Agency officials.
